Putting a watermark on your image to protect it is a very good idea. If you’re looking for an application that can do this and more, you are very well advised to get Total Watermark. Besides watermarking and batch watermarking functionality, this application also comes with the options to crop, resize, rename, and convert images.

Total Watermark can be installed on a machine powered by Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 7, or 8. To install the application, you will first have to download a 7.6MB executable onto your machine. Run this executable and you will be presented with a setup wizard that will guide you through the installation process. A few clicks later you will be done and ready to start using Total Watermark.

The dark-themed interface is divided into three panels. To the left there’s a thumbnails list of all the images you loaded into the application. Select an image from the list and the panel in the middle will present a preview of the image with the watermark on it. And to the right there’s a panel that lists the application’s main functions: Crop, Resize, Rename, Watermarks, Format, and Export.

Using Total Watermark is a very simple 3-step process:
Step 1 – load an image or multiple images into the application. You can do so by using the Add Folder or Add Files options. When you launch Total Watermark, the application presents a list of recent image folders as well as a list of recent preset files (it includes a sample watermark and any other presets you create).
Step 2 – choose what you want Total Watermark to do. You can instruct the application to add a watermark, crop, resize, rename, or convert your images.
Step 3 – export the watermarked images.

Please note that Total Watermark is only free to try: the trial will put an “unregistered version” watermark on the output and it will not batch watermark multiple files (only the first image will be watermarked).

From Total Watermark’s good looking interface you will easily watermark your images. The application comes with a few extra features that you are sure to like.

Pros

The Total Watermark installation process goes along smoothly and rapidly. The application features a good looking, dark-themed interface. You can use the application to batch watermark, convert, crop, resize, and rename image files. There’s a sample watermark you can use to quickly get started with Total Watermark.

Cons

The trial puts a watermark on the output; when multiple images were selected for watermarking, it only watermarked the first one in the set.
